NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

FOR ISSUANCE OF TAX-EXEMPT SPECIAL FUND REVENUE BONDS BY

THE WASHINGTON HEALTH CARE FACILITIES AUTHORITY

The Washington Health Care Facilities Authority (the “Authority”) will hold a public hearing on August 14, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. at its office at 410 – 11th Avenue S.E., Suite 201, Olympia, Washington 98504, regarding the proposed issuance by the Authority of tax-exempt special fund revenue “qualified 501(c)(3) bonds,” as defined in Section 145 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), in one or more series, in a maximum stated principal amount not to exceed $9,557,400 (collectively, the “Bond”). The proceeds of the Bond will be loaned to Northwest Kidney Centers (“NWKC”), a Washington nonprofit corporation and a “501(c)(3) organization,” as defined in the Code, for the purpose of providing part of the funds necessary (a) to finance, pay or reimburse the costs of certain Projects (listed below) undertaken by NWKC and (b) to pay costs of issuing the Bond.

The Projects consist of the acquisition, construction, renovation, remodeling, expansion and/or equipping of capital projects or facilities, including land, buildings, equipment and other property, used or useful in connection with the provision of outpatient dialysis services at the following locations, such Projects to be financed with Bond proceeds in the maximum stated principal amounts as set forth:

Up to $5,370,000 for the acquisition of the Renton Kidney Center, an existing outpatient dialysis center located at 602 Oakesdale Ave. SW, Renton, Washington 98057.

Up to $4,000,000 for the renovation, construction, remodeling, expansion and equipping of the Lake Washington Kidney Center (Bellevue Kidney Center) (the “Bellevue Kidney Center”), an existing outpatient dialysis center located at 1474 112th Ave. NE, Bellevue, Washington 98004, including replacement of the water system.

NWKC is or will be the initial legal owner and/or principal user the Projects.

NWKC reserves the right to allocate and reallocate proceeds of the Bond to any of the locations set forth in this notice, notwithstanding the dollar amounts set forth herein.
