Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR ISSUANCE OF QUALIFIED 501(C)(3) BONDS
BY THE WASHINGTON HEALTH CARE FACILITIES AUTHORITY

The Washington Health Care Facilities Authority (the “Authority”) will hold a public hearing on March 12, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. at its office at 410 – 11th Avenue S.E., Suite 201, Olympia, Washington 98504, regarding the proposed issuance by the Authority of one or more of its qualified 501(c)(3) bonds, as defined in Section 145 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”) for hospitals or other health care facilities, in an original aggregate principal amount not-to-exceed $280,000,000 (the “Bonds”).  The proceeds of the Bonds will be loaned to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (the “Borrower”), a Washington nonprofit corporation and a “501(c)(3) organization,” (as defined in the Code), for the purpose of providing all or part of the funds necessary to:

(i) finance the costs of acquisition, construction, remodeling, renovating and equipping of certain health care facilities owned and operated by the Borrower, including reimbursing the Borrower for a portion of the costs thereof, at Borrower’s outpatient clinic located at 820 Yale Avenue North and 825 Eastlake Avenue East, Seattle in an aggregate principal amount not-to-exceed $260,000,000; and

(ii) refinance all or a portion of the Authority’s Variable Rate Revenue Bonds, Series 2010 (Seattle Cancer Care Alliance) (the “Prior Bonds”).

The proceeds of the Prior Bonds were used to refinance the Authority’s Variable Rate Revenue Bonds, Series 2008 (Seattle Cancer Care Alliance), the proceeds of which paid or reimbursed the Borrower for all or a portion of the costs of acquisition, construction, equipping and furnishing of certain health care facilities owned and operated by the Borrower generally located at 207 Pontius Avenue North, Seattle and certain letter of credit fees. The health care facilities described above are all located in the State of Washington.
