Dear Prospective Applicant:
It is our pleasure to offer the Authority’s “Public Offerings” program for nonprofit 501(c)(3) health care providers in Washington. The program has been developed with an eye toward making low cost tax-exempt financing available for rated health care providers and those that wish to issue bonds via the municipal tax-exempt market.
Many of you have asked for a loan program that is simple and cost-effective yet addresses the need to finance larger capital projects through the public market.
Two features of these loans make them especially attractive:
1. The bonds are publicly sold based on the rating of the Applicant or specified credit enhancer(s).
2. The program utilizes the ability of the Authority as a conduit issuer, to issue federally tax-exempt bonds on behalf of the Applicant. Thereby reducing overall interest cost associated with a specific financing.
The Public Offering process although complex, involves a number of qualified parties as well as dedicated Authority staff to facilitate the process through closing. For more information on this product please contact the Authority.
